The Morton SCi1330SV is a high performance workshop lathe that delivers a combination of precision, power and durability to help ensure longevity. An electronically controlled inverter offers infinitely variable and seamless speed change through the range of 30 – 2500RPM, the machine also includes a digital speed read out.
The simple user friendly controls makes this unit ideal for training for second and third level students. The lathe bed is manufactured from high tensile cast iron which is hardened and ground. Features include closed type headstock, gearbox and apron with internal oil reservoir. The Hardened and ground headstock gears are mounted on spindles with precision taper roller bearing for a smooth operation.
Safety features include emergency stops, foot brake, apron, chuck and tailstock guarding. The apron feed rod and handwheel are also equipped with an adjustable safety overload slipping clutch to ensure a correct cutting load
